Fahan School Scholarships provide exciting opportunities for students
Fahan School’s Scholarships are designed to recognise high achievers and provide opportunities to girls and young women who may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend the School. We seek students who are academically well-rounded and who embody the School values of Learning, Spirit and Community.
Academic Scholarships
In line with our commitment to fostering a culture of inquiry for knowledge and truth, Academic Scholarships at Fahan School are designed to fuel the pursuit of excellence through the cultivation of curiosity, creativity, initiative, and innovation in our students academic endeavours.
Academic Scholarships are open to students entering into Year 7 and Year 11 in 2027, with Years 8, 9 and 10 available to current or confirmed Fahan students only. New students awarded a scholarship will receive a remission of between 25% to 50% of tuition fees, with current students eligible to receive a 25% tuition fee remission.

1. All applicants must register for the Edutest Scholarship Examination. Please ensure you click this link Edutest Scholarship Examination and register by Friday 1 May 2026.
2. All applicants must also complete and return the Academic Scholarship Application Form to the School at scholarships@fahan.tas.edu.au, including two most recent school reports and NAPLAN results by Friday 1 May 2026.
3. Applicants must sit the Edutest scholarship examination at 9:00am on Saturday 9 May 2026.
4. Results of the exam will be evaluated alongside the information on the Academic Scholarship Application Form submitted by each candidate.
5. Successful applicants will be notified by telephone and email. An interview with the Principal will then be arranged to discuss the expectations of a scholarship recipient at Fahan.
6. Acceptance of a scholarship is required within seven days of receipt of an offer.
7. Unsuccessful applicants will also be notified as soon as possible following the assessment of applications. Please refer to the Scholarship Process below for more information.
Please note: Scholarships are open to Australian Permanent Residents ONLY, are awarded at the discretion of the School and the School’s decision is final. Scholarships vary in the percentage of tuition fee discount offered and do not cover additional costs such as uniforms, textbooks, levies or any other co-curricular activities such as music and sporting lessons. Normal enrolment fees apply.
Remote testing applicants:
Contact remote@edutest.com.au immediately upon completing your registration. Depending on personal circumstances and location, remote testing arrangements can take several weeks to organise. Early contact with Edutest is strongly advised. Additional fees apply for remote testing.
Requests for remote testing must be made no later than Friday 24 April 2026.
Conditions of all Scholarships at Fahan School
All Scholarships are awarded through to the completion of Year 12 providing recipients maintain an exemplary work ethic, abide by School rules and uphold the values of the School. Fahan School reserves the right to review the scholarship award if the recipient does not uphold these expectations.
All Scholarship holders are expected to make a positive and significant contribution to the life of the School and have a ready willingness to participate in a range of educational and school-related activities.
In accepting a Scholarship, parents/guardians commit to maintaining their daughter’s enrolment at Fahan School through to the completion of Year 12. The School reserves the right to request the full repayment of the total value of the Scholarship if students/parents do not fulfil this expectation.
