At Fahan School, the use of personal devices empowers girls to learn and work to their potential and we pride ourselves on teaching them essential skills which they will carry for life. Our successful program integrates technology seamlessly across classrooms and year levels, and girls are able to work on one device at School or at home. They are provided secure, high-speed wireless network access, content delivered from our School intranet, and The Tree - our learning management system. The Tree enables technology and eResources to be embedded across all levels of curriculum and our girls now use their devices regularly to create and submit work online, collaborate with peers and teachers, and access electronic textbooks and resources.
Each year the School reviews our Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program against the needs of our girls and the curriculum. The aim of this program is to streamline the development of skills and teach ownership, responsibility and appropriate use.
