Our Year 8 students swapped classrooms for camp life as they headed off on a unique outdoor education experience. Split into smaller groups, they rotated through a range of scenic camp sites and activities that encouraged independence, teamwork, and plenty of fun along the way.
From harvesting potatoes to canoeing, hiking, and orienteering, each day brought something new. Students prepared their own meals, carried their gear, and camped out in the elements, gaining hands-on experience and valuable life skills in the process.
Students adapted to new surroundings, worked together to solve problems, and made the most of the great weather and bush settings.
It was a memorable week that gave everyone a chance to step outside their usual routines, build friendships, and discover what they’re capable of. Year 8 returned with full backpacks and a real sense of pride in what they’d experienced together.
