Ruth Groom is Executive General Manager People, Culture and Engagement at Hydro Tasmania, Australia’s largest generator of renewable energy. In this role Ruth is responsible for communications, stakeholder and government relations, people and capability, safety and assurance. She has held executive roles in strategy, policy, customer experience and corporate planning.
Ruth is an experienced leader having worked in energy, climate change and higher education for over 20 years.
Ruth is a graduate of the AICD and has a Bachelor of Arts and a Graduate Diploma of Environmental Studies (First Class Honours). She is Local Leader for Mentor Walks in Hobart.
Ruth has a daughter in the Senior School at Fahan.
