On the 26-27 of February, Fahan School took part in Cancer Council Tasmania's Relay For Life fundraiser, marking the School's tenth consecutive year of participation.

Students in Years 7-12 did an outstanding job at the 2011 House Swimming Carnival. Participation was very high and Franklin House came home with the trophy.

On Tuesday 22 February, girls in Years 7 to 12 braved the weather and travelled to the Glenorchy pool for the annual House Swimming Carnival where Franklin House won the day.

Helen Stephen Wins Fahan's Flood Relief Fundraiser

The Fahan School Community Committee, under the direction of Anna Forward, coordinated a Flood Relief Hamper that was raffled off during February to raise money for the Premier's Disaster Relief Appeal.

Over 100 people attended this year’s annual Parents and Friends Association Sunset Under the Sails evening and everyone at the casual get together had a wonderful time, thanks to the hard work of the P & F and in particular, Birgitta Browning.

Honours Assembly Celebrates Achievement

Seven 2010 graduates were invited back to Fahan today to be honoured for their outstanding academic achievements during their time at Fahan. Each of these girls received an ATAR over 95, placing them in the top 5% of Australian students.

The 2011 School Year Off To A Great Start

Several hundred students donned the blue and orange for the first day of the 2011 Fahan School year. Staff welcomed back familiar faces and enjoyed the chance to meet many new students who have joined the Fahan community this year.

Tossed Out!

All of our 2010 Year 12 leavers left School in the Fahan tradition on Tuesday 14 December when they were 'tossed out' by the Year 11 girls following the Final Assembly. Their parents and friends watched the ceremony and joined the girls for morning tea.
