Year 9 Students Support Variety Monster Book Fair

Community service is an important part of the Lumina 9 program at Fahan, giving students opportunities to put their leadership skills and values into action.

 

Last week, our Year 9 students volunteered behind the scenes at the Variety Monster Book Fair, continuing Lumina 9's longstanding partnership with Variety - the Children's Charity Tasmania.

 

Working alongside Variety volunteers over two days at Princes Wharf 1, students quality-checked and sorted thousands of donated books into categories ahead of the weekend sale.

 

The annual event raised funds to support children who are sick, experiencing disadvantage or living with additional needs, with our students making a valuable contribution to its success through their enthusiasm, teamwork and care.
