Kinder to Year 2 Celebrate National Simultaneous Storytime

On Wednesday, 27 May, students from Kinder to Year 2 came together to celebrate National Simultaneous Storytime, sharing this year’s story, Luna Roo: The Kangaroo Baller.

Written by Sydney-based football veterans Adam Jackson and Adrian Lloyd, the story explores themes of courage, teamwork, resilience and believing in yourself, while fostering a love of reading and Australian storytelling.

Brought to life by our Early Childhood teachers, the reading engaged students through storytelling and imagination.

Following the reading, Year 1 and Year 2 students headed to the gym for a lively soccer shoot-out, where students and teachers (in costume!) took part in some friendly competition.

A meaningful way for students to come together through reading and shared experiences as part of this nationwide literacy event.
