On Friday, 22 May, the first group of our Year 8 students returned from their Outdoor Education camp in Bothwell, following a week of challenge, learning and connection in the outdoors.
Students embraced new experiences, from navigating through the landscape and abseiling to building resilience and teamwork on mountain biking trails. Expedition skills sessions encouraged independence, problem-solving and confidence, while providing valuable opportunities to step outside comfort zones and support one another.
A highlight for many was learning about local farm life, including an engaging session with hardworking muster dogs and gaining a unique insight into life on the land.
The camp provided a memorable opportunity for students to strengthen friendships, develop new skills and grow in confidence; a fantastic few days of adventure, connection and personal growth.
