19 December 2018
The 2018 TCE results have been released and we are pleased to advise that it has been a wonderful all-round performance from our Year 12 girls with 100% gaining an ATAR score. We commend the achievements of all the girls who worked diligently throughout the year and produced their best efforts, as well as the exceptional teachers at Fahan who have guided them so expertly over the course of their time at the School.
Some key achievements include:
• Fahan’s median ATAR, a key indicator of the level of the girls’ overall performance, was 88.15, meaning that 50% of our students earned results that placed them in the top 12% of students nationally.
• An outstanding 25% of our girls obtained ATARs of 95+, placing them in the top 5% of students nationally
These are wonderful results for the girls, their families and the School. The following girls achieved outstanding ATARs of 95 or above: Hannah Vesinger 98.3, Lily Zeeman 97.05, Renée Di Benedetto 96.75, Isabelle Higgins 96.7, Ella Jones 95.4, Edie Bucirde 95.6, Ann Li 95.2.
There was also an exceptional performance from our Year 11 students with a near record number of nine of them qualifying for Pockets of Excellence. To earn this award, each girl must average 19 or above in her top two subjects and have a total of more than 70 in four subjects.
Overall, this set of results is again commendable and maintains our record, based on figures on the TASC website, in which Fahan has the highest percentage of students of any school in the State achieving ATARs .
Congratulations to the 2018 girls who led the School so well during the year and their dedicated teachers who have guided them to achieve such wonderful results.
