On Tuesday 7 February, Fahan School welcomed students back for the start of what promises to be another exciting year at the School.
Playgrounds and corridors were buzzing with excitement as the girls settled back into daily School life and welcomed new friends.
Principal, Tony Freeman, was delighted to see the girls and is looking forward to showcasing the developments that took place over Summer including the refurbishment of Nateby to support our Boarding Program, relocation of the Barn to the Oval, a sports green at the top of the School and landscaping to enhance the Junior School’s outdoor area. The official opening of the Junior School Green will follow next month.
With the start of the School year also came the School’s annual Service of Investiture of School Leaders. Tony Freeman used the opportunity to remind the girls that leadership at Fahan is about serving the Community. “These girls have deserved their appointments, and now we will support them to earn them as they work together to ensure a productive year”, said Tony.
In front of members of the Fahan Community and student body, the following girls were formally inducted as the 2017 Leaders:
Head Girl: Isabella Alcorso
Deputy Heads: Amy Pailthorpe and Charlotte Young
Fenton: Ruby Zantuck
Franklin: Clare Grace
Freycinet: Madeleine Skeggs
Sport: Briar Fitzgerald
Arts: Meg Tyler
Community: Kate Smyth

We welcome back all our parents and staff after the break for what we hope will be another outstanding year of achievement at Fahan.
